italian turkey.....

If you visit an Italian supermarket you'll find an abundance of turkey breast in the meat section: both sliced and whole, and both are quite popular: They're low in fat, inexpensive, and whole turkey breast is quite versatile. Here we have a turkey roll stuffed with fruit, and served with mostarda. Perfect for a festive occasion!

  • 1 3/4 pounds (800 g) turkey breast, in a single large piece
  • 1/3 pound (150 g) chestnuts
  • An apple, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • A pear, peeled, cored and sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnut meats
