bikes and beer...




Been missing for a couple of days...Friday joined the Bainton Bike Boys who were doing a cycle from Kemble to Oxford sampling the local ales on route for Kevins Pub review finishing at The 8 Bells at Eaton..I met up them bringing the rain...Many a good ale was sampled with some wet beer fueled high speed rides in between the pubs and raindrops..the quest ended at the Red Lion in Aston as the Rain - Dark and hospitality beat us...even had a chance to play Bar Billards at The Morris Clown ..met the brewer at The Crown in Letchlade after he'd just finished a batch of Thames Tickler..(After that I don't think I'll be starting up a Micro Brewery just yet )..sucessful ride but....................

Claims have often been made that the performance of Morris dancing in Bampton at anything up to six hundred years....Home of the Morris Dancing then..?

The 15th Oxford Beer Festival takes place between Thursday, October 11, and Sunday, October 13, at the Town Hall in St Aldate’s Oxford....
